Sixgill Sound's new year's resolution is to throw one awesome party the last saturday of every month! We are please to announce this stellar line up for the very first "SIXGILL SATURDAY":

Run River:

A unique combination of musical instruments. Using two guitars, a bass and drums, they nightly revolutionize rock music. You’ll leave with their songs in your head. We guarantee it. Expect to have fun.

Sunday Buckets:

Sunday Buckets may or may not be a band you have ever heard of. It is, most definitely, a band name you have never heard, as it stands uniquely alone. This is not about a band name however, but rather what that name stands for and who stands behind it. Six twenty-something friends unite under this moniker, and they continue to make music that gives the name Sunday Buckets its’ credibility. They have described their music as indie-pop, or indie-rock, but often find it hard to label. Despite a difficult year in 2010 after their original drummer quit, the boys have honed their live show by playing sold out venues throughout Victoria, including The Rifflandia Festival, opening for K’Naan, as well as spots opening for Hey Ocean!, Said The Whale, Seawolf, and Wide Mouth Mason. They have hired former Armchair Cynics guitarist and producer extraordinaire Adam Sutherland to sit behind the drum kit and seem poised to break out of the local music scene in Victoria.

Sunhawk:

SUNHAWK, AN ELECTRIFYING, HIGH ENERGY DANCE ROCK THREE-PIECE HAILING FROM VICTORIA, BC EXPLODED ONTO THE ISLAND ROCK SCENE IN EARLY 2010. Childhood friends switch instruments song to song, constantly pushing the limits of how much sound three people can deliver on stage. SUNHAWK continues to amass a dedicated and raucous fan base through social media, campus newspapers, and word of mouth. A bright future awaits this young band.
