http://www.myspace.com/melaniedekkermusic
I tour alot, and this year I am going to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Czech Republic, Canada & the USA. There are tours and stories and diaries and albums and videos and songs and pictures at: www.melaniedekker.com. I LOVE to play and meet the people and uncover the emotions that I write about. I am described as an adventurous romantic and I like that as I believe that there needs to be more of that EVERYWHERE! I want to explore and share and give. We die with nothing so the other stuff is just stuff.
MEMORY DAY
http://www.myspace.com/memoryday
Charlie Mackenzie, Lanny Hussey. Todd Oliver and Scott Fletcher all hail from Vancouver BC and are the core of the acclaimed band Memory Day. Their self produced indi CD, "Jenkins Farm" is one of the most overlooked Canadian CD's ever and since it's release has taken a life all on it's own even though the band has not played live since 2004. Their unique vocal style and harmonies are complimented with great songwriting and guitar playing and a powerful rythym section. Their music takes on an Emotional Charge with strong melody and emotion. Think David Gray, Michael Stipe, Wilco, U2, James Taylor. Memory Day has shared the stage with many cool acts- from Sarah Mclachlan, Barenaked Ladies, Grapes Of Wrath, Concrete Blonde to 54-40, Northern Pikes and Melissa Etheridge. Reviews- "One of the most exciting acts we've heard this year-indie or major" - The Record "My Ears keep draggin me back to it's blend of dreamy melodies, atmospheric strings and tasteful electric guitar" -Alex Varty Georgia Straight "Ever have one of those albums that won't leave your mind after the i pod is turned off? That's the effect ths highly charged collection of songs has" -Tom Zillich West Ender Magazine" One of the top 100 albums of all time--- http://mapsurfer.com/lists/albums.html Check it out....
